Bon soir,
so 4 months here and at the Moment it feels like such a Long time already...but not at all negative :))
I really understand alot by now, and I am very happy about that...I even had my first dream in French this month :) It's an awsome Feeling, to finally be able to really talk to People and I made the experience that, if you can't talk with someone, you can only Show half of your personality...I don't want to say, not at all...but being able to express yourself makes alot different and only with this you can Show your way of thinking, and that makes alot of our personality, I think.
I also think, that I made some really Close friendships by now, which hopefully last a Long time :)

Noel :)
Salut,
so Christmas is over, even though it doesn't really feel like that, because there is still a bunch of stuff left to eat :P
Last Weekend I had some really nice 3 days with the lovely People from Basketball. It was a competition of the Teams which are called "les séléctions". These are the Teams, where out of each Region the 12 best Players Play in one Team. It takes place every year and this year it was in the Gymnasium of our Club, so we, as members of the Club, had to do the Service and take care of the music in the breaks and stuff like that :)) But I really had alot of fun, especially for the last match, where "Isere" played against "Haut-Savoir" (my Region)...it was a really nice atmosphere :)
And of cours I want to tell some stuff about Christmas :P
So to make it short, the word Christmas, or better in French Noel, can be translated simply with FOOOOOOOD :P and I am really serious there...Noel is all about eating, eating and eating....ok in the middle of all that, are some presents...but afterwards you eat again :P
Here you can see a bit of what I mean:
This was our nice table decoration of Christmaseve...so the 24th :)
The shoe is made of chocolate...
Some Froggs?
And yes, they eat them for real...and they are really nice :) Tast like chicken :P
And maybe also some snales and oysters? :P
I liked the snales, but I have to say, that they actually taste like nothing, it's just the garlic butter :))
An oysters: I can still not get used to them...:P
Last but not at all least: The Desserts :P
This one is Special for my Region. It's some Kind of Little cakes filled with Marmelade :)) Sooo good :)
Iles flotantes :)) Just awsome These things :)
One bûche home made :)) (it's this rolled cake)
This one with alooot of chocolate...
...and this one bought and with fruits :))
But they where both really nice :)
So yes, we ate too much...but of course just the best stuff :)
I got some really cute presents and I was soo pleased that my Family apriciated the presents, extra sent from Germany :P
So tomorrow we are heading of to skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I am soooo happy...like reaaaally really really happy!
So I will go to bed now, so I am fit for tomorrow :)

Christmas time :)
Salut mes amis :)
I am soooooo so sorry that I haven't been posting anything since anges, but I do have some excuses :P
So christmas is coming closer and closer and I had soooo much stuff to do, with finding and making presents. It's not easy at all to find presents for people, you only know since 3 months....but I hope I found the right things :)
I also had some really nice weekends with my people from basketball...even though with some sleeping deficits :P
And of course, since the french is going pretty well by now, I have to make my homework... and also learn for tests and all that stuff, where I really have problems with, because I don't really know in which language. So if you guys have any tips for me, feel free to say them out loud :)
Concerning the weather, it's not at all cool...it's really some kind of april weather, that seriously no one needs! The last two weeks we had fog, fog and guess what...fog! Wednesday was the first time since 2 weeks I could actually see the sky :P And now, it's just raining, raining and haha...your totally right...raining! Pretty annoying, because since I have 2 weeks of holidays from now, I desperately want to go skiing!
I am really afraid of christmas here, since they eat already alot every day...I don't really want to imagine how much they eat for christmas...another reason why I really wonna go skiing :P
One more thing to say, would be that the school trip to Irland is set :)) I am soo happy...and it's even cooler because a friend from a different class is coming with us..so it's going to be pretty awsome :)
Since I had some really nice last days of school with alot of laughing, here are some pictures :))
I hope this time it won't take too long, until the next post :) ...since I do have quite a few plans :)

Losing my english! :(((
Cou cou,
ok, I am totaly shocked! I am about to lose my english! ...but I'll tell you the whole story:
Well, this morning, our bus, because of some reason, didn't come. So we had to take the the bus to the other school in Annemasse. But the thing is, that the school is about a 15min.-walk away from our school and it was -6°C! Freaking cold...happy I survived :P
So this week, I knew that some australian exchange stundents would come to our school, and there is also one living in Reignier, so where I life...and of course she had to take the same bus as we, just that for her it was the first day here and the best example: amazingly hot, you can really sleep in over here and the busses are always on time :PP haha, well since no one talked to her, and I really wanted to, I tried it on french and aksed here where she comes from. Well she didn't understand that. So I tried to ask which city...no chance...finally I talked on english with her. She was really happy about that, but I mixed EVERYTHING! Damn! I really had to think about the sentences...you also have to know, that there are sooo many words which are quite similar on french and english...so I kind of pronounced the french words in english...yes, I was shocked! Now I know: the next two months: gonna pick up some english there, dude :P ...let's see how it's gonna work out with my german after the 10 months...
xoxo, Klara

3 mois :)))
Bon soir,
so as you can read by the headline, with today, it makes exactly 3 months that I am here in france. It is incredible how much I have learned already. Not just my language improved sooo much, but also about people, ways of thinking and operating, with different situations.
I have to say, that I can defend myself against some judgements about my accent or my nationality by now...not that I have any major problems with that, but there are still one to two people, how say things that could hurt others quite alot. There you have to know, that I already know, that the people who say things like this, have now idea what's going on in my mind and my life and I have to say, might also be a little bit jealous. So I don't really care, but there are others, who get really hurt with this.
Another thing to say is, that there are some exchange stundents already leaving now...but I feel like, my life here ist just about to start, and I can understand everything now, but with the speeking, I have still quite alot of problems. So I would be pretty sad, having to leave already...but luckily I have still have 7 awsome moths to go :))

Soirée du Basket et la Neige
Bon soir,
so once again a monday...it'll be often like this now :)
I had just too much to do for school yesterday evening, because we had a test in maths today (well ca va :P) and I had a pretty cool weekend, with not much time for school stuff :))
But let's start with last week...
Well we had quite alot of snow. It was sooo great, even though it didn't rest all day long, but still. The noices the snow makes, while walking to the busstop in the morning...those little drunchy noices...I just love them :)
We also wrote a test in science and I started learning one evening bevor, because I didn't know it, but I thought I got everything pretty well...but no! There was nothing, absolutly nothing asked in the test that I had learnd! Kacka!
Buuuuuuuut, I will hopefully be going on a classtrip. It is sooooo cool, because actually, everyone says that in france it's not so often to be going on a class trip, and I am so lucky to be having the chance...And when I heard this, I thought it couldn't come better, but it's going to Irland, to Dublin :))) It's sooo cool, and I hope reeaaally hope the teacher get's to organize this :))
So now, we can come to my amazing weekend :)) Of course I had basketball training on friday evening, with the lovely girsl :) On saturday, like always, tennis in the morning...but that is soooo cold. They don't have a gym, so we play outside, with -2°C it's already unbelievable cold...but imagine, I will be playing with up to -20°C!!! Don't know how I am gonna survive that, because if I wear too much, I will not be able to move...
Anyways, in the afternoon we got some skistuff for everyone, because it's gonna start soon :))
And in the evening we went to the Soirée du Basket. We ate fondu and I really enjoyed being there with all these incredible nice people. They were really all sooo nice, and I love people who don't have any prejudices...they are all like a big family...really nice to see this :))
After that, I slept at Johannas, because my hostparents went earlier than me, but I really wanted to stay :))
With this evening, I noticed again how much I understand now. I talked about alot of stuff with Johanna and I could really understand every single word she said... it makes me feel really comfortable :)
Let's see what the next week brings me :))

Amazing Sunsets :)
Bonjour tout le monde,
since I don't have anything else to do, I thought I'd write my Sunday-Post a bit earlier today. I have not been up to much. This week was a bit wired, and I was really tired and confused. But let's start from the beginning...
Since we had no school on monday, the whole week was already mixed up and acutally shorter than normal, but it seemed really long. On wednesday, where I normally only have until 11:40 o'clock, I had undtil 16:30pm. This had something to do with our holidays. So we had the thursday morning classes also wednesday afternoon. French system :P
And in cause of this, the gymansium, where we normally have basketballtraining wednesday evening, wasn't open. So we had this training tuesday evening, with the guys...was pretty fun, even though I hate sweating in front of the other sex :P ...but this was also a thing that got me confused.
In math, I don't get anything at the moment...the teacher is really mean to the ES people...she let's out steps, so I can't understand it....and yes...not cool.
The weather is getting really cold here, and I bought my suuuuper cool new skiclothings :)) they are just awsome, I love them. So the skiing-season can come, then you will also get to see some photos.
I really hope to be able to do something nice the next few weekends, and not just being at home...
So now I just have some pretty photos for you, that I took last week, because the sunsets were really nice :)
I find, that they look as if they are burning...and they are not edited :P

Starting to take my own notes :)
Salut,
so the first week after the holidays is already over and today is public holiday, because of the end of the 1st. World War ...but actually for us, it just means no school :P
After I reaturned from the holidays, I was really astonished how much I understand now. I have no idea why, but I really noticed it. And therefor, I am sometimesngetting asked in class now, which really stresses me. I kind of sit pretty frontish in class, so I am happy that I can't see how alot of people look at me, but I can liturally feel it in my back. It's really not a confortable feeling. Sometimes I can answer, but if I like mix up words like ballon (ball) and ball (gun), than everyone laughs. I now that they don't mean it mean, but it really stresses.
But I have really cool news, I have 12,5 points in maths and sometimes, when the teachers dictate something, I can take my own notes and just correct the accents over the Es and As...because that is just crazy, I never get it wright, which one to use :P
So let's come to the weather: it's getting really cold here, although the sun is shining still pretty often. But I am really annoyed now by the long school days, I mean I mostly have only until 4pm, but for example my hostbrother has nearly everyday until 6pm. And so we go to school when it's dark, and we come home when it's dark. Not so cool. But the skiing season is coming closer and closer, and so I found these really cool skiclothings, not cheap, but I wonna use them a long time, therefor I think it's ok :)
And to talk about all that chocolate I got to my birthday, I even got more afterwards, because some packets came a bit later... guys...I am getting fatt :P (2 kg, in 2 month...that means 10 kg, in 10 month! Send me some almased :P )
BUT, I am doing way more sport here, and with this, I can tell you, I had my first basketball game yesterday and we won. I wasn't in often, but astimated 15 min. :)) (made 5 points :P )...no but it's just alot of fun, with these girls, who are just awsome.
So tomorrow school again, and I got a bit of homework to do :(
A bientôt

End of the holidays :()
Coucou,
so this is the end of the holidays and tomorrow it's back to school... I am pretty happy about that because like this it's not so boring anymore... even though I have to say that the last week was pretty nice because we actually did something :PP
On monday I went to Louana and we made this creative day...so we watched movies and did DIYs (do-it-yourselfs). The family was really nice and they were not so typical french...so they ate like around about 6 or 7 pm and not like 8 or 9isch...
On wednesday was my birhtday and I wanted to say thankyou to everyone who thought of on that day again... I got soooo much stuff....way to nice :PP
We also drove to the parents of my hostdad and they were also sooo nice to me...the mum made a little cake for me and that was jsut soo cute :))
We visited alot of castles and we had amazing weather, a part from friday :P
We also visited the house of Leonardo da Vinci, where he lived around about 2 years and you could see all the invetions he had in his mind and drew, but didn#t have the material in that time.
And now I hope everyone can watch the video, if no, I am really sorry :)
Tomorrow school and in 6 weeks already the next holidays :P
A bientot

deux mois :)
Bonsoir,
oh oh 2 months already! 2 months in france! 2 months twentyfour-seven french!
I don't really know what to say...
I have to tell you guys that 2 months sound, well they actually sound pretty 2 monthish.
You know it feels like I am already here such a long time...sometimes psotive and sometimes negative. It feels like I know alot of people, but not close, so not peolpe I would like ask if they wanted to do something with me. I have found really nice friends, and in general, they are all sooo nice to me...but I sometimes have the feeling that they are only nice to me because they are afraid of hurting me, in a way.
You know in these two months I have already learned quite a few things. About people, about life and also about my family.
First I have to say, that the last two months again prooved to me, that being mobbed, has abolutely nothing to do with where you come from. I come from germany, I have lived one and a half in australia and now I live for nearly one year in france and I have changed school many times, but I have never, never ever been mobbed or I have never been unexcepted. In australia, as well as here in france, I could hardly speak a word in the language of the country, when I first came there, but I could make myself friends. All this prooves to me, that it's not about where you come from, it's about who you are and how you present yourself. This does not include clothing and stuff like this, I have my own style, but it includes you charakter. Of course you are beeing judged by how you look and what you wear..which is also a thing that I learned here. But you can always compensate your looking with your charakter!
The second thing I have to honor, is the work that my parents have done. All the things that they tought me and how they raised me up is unpayable. I have already learned soo much about life through them and I have to say that my life is great, but only because of my parents. I cannot explaine how I learned this here, but since I live in a different family now, it just opened my eyes even wider and just made me notice that there is no single word to express how much I honor and love my parents and as well as how much I want to thank them.
I am happy with my family here, some things just make realize how much luck I have :)
And the last thing is that I am really sorry, but I have some problems with uploading the video. I will try it out another day :) so here just a little photo of my friends :))
A bientôt

I have already learned soo much about life through them and I have to say that my life is great, but only because of my parents. I cannot explaine how I learned this here, but since I live in a different family now, it just opened my eyes even wider and just made me notice that there is no single word to express how much I honor and love my parents and as well as how much I want to thank them.
I am happy with my family here, some things just make realize how much luck I have :)
And the last thing is that I am really sorry, but I have some problems with uploading the video. I will try it out another day :) so here just a little photo of my friends :))
A bientôt

Chamonix
Cou cou,
I am so sorry guys, but I forgot to write my sunday post again... so it's turned into a monday-post :P
Okay, where to start?!
First of all the, the first week of the holidays is already over and I haven't really done anything...I have to say it was pretty boring and I was at home and did DIYs and stuff like that...it was a bit annoying. You have to know that in this little village I have like 2 friends and it's really hard to get them to do something with you, because I have this feeling that the french teenagers really use their holidays for doing nothing...and I mean really nothing!
So the only thing I did was meeting up with the other exchange stundents from my region in Annecy, as I already told you :) We had really nice weather that day (Tuesday). We were about 5 so not much, and we talked about the last 1 and a half months and how we are like getting along with the language, the people, the schoolsystem and the families :)) There was also one guy, who is already 8 months here and he will be leaving soon, he comes from Australia and he could like say EVERYTHING in french...so that got me a little motivation :))
So as I was pretty bored the whole week, I got of course again pretty creative and I found out that my hostmum has a sewing machine...pretty cool, because like this it's faster and more fun :))
The weather has been pretty unsettled...one day rain, next day sun and 25°C...
But on saturday we went to Chamonix. This is the small (well bigger than Reignier) Village on the foot of the Mont Blanc. We had awsome weather and so I could take some really nice Photos :)
So tonight I will sleep at a friends house...to be creative ones more :P
And I hope to be posting the video tomorrow :*

Finally Holidays :P
Salut,
I am sorry that I didn't write my usual sunday-post yesterday...but I was a little demotivated and didn't really have time...
So yes, the holidays have finally arrived and I must say, I reeeeaaally needed them. I was soo tired the last few days of school and I am also a bit sick :((
But yes, the last to days of school where still really nice though... I took my camera to school to make some photos of my friends and the school. But do not wonder why I'm not posting them today, I'll do a little video and that will take a little more time ;)
So yesterday was again pretty nice because the whole family was here again and we celebrated all the birhtdays: Damiens, Laurences and Didiers...and to my surprise mine already :PP I know, I know celebrating in advance brings bad luck and all, but I found it kind of really cute because like that the whole family was there and I got some little presents and a reeeeaaaally awsome cake...the only time I had a cake cooler than that, was when I was really small and it was a barbie-cake :))
So the plan for tomorrow is having lunch at the house of teh sister of Laurence and afterwards visiting the beautiful Annecy and meeting up with a few exchange students in my region :))

First snowball fight :P
Salut,
as you know, I have to take the bus nearly every morning and every afternoon, well actually evening... and since there is only one bus every morning and every evening, you kind of have no other chance to come to school or to come home...
And yes of course the day had to come that I miss the bus... gladly I missed it in the evening and not in the morning because not going to school at all makes everything way more complicated than having to call my hostparents to say that I was too stupid to hear the schoolbell ring...I was sooo sorry so I think, well I hope this is NEVER gonna happen again :P
Yesterday I had alot of fun with Julie in the evening, because she was going to go to a 20th birhtday with the motto Zombie or Unicorn and she asked me to help her make a costume for a zombie....and I looove doing this like this so we made, with the sources that where given (not much), a pretty good zombie out of her :P
Haha yeeees my first snowball fight for this winter :) You might be wondering how is it possible that we already have snow?! I have to say that since I live in the mountains it doesn't take long to be over 1000meter and this is the hight where the snow begins...it's around an hour away to drive and I think that is not too far. I got to see where we will be skiing in winter every saturday or sunday and also where we will be skiing for one week :)
Although the weather is really not nice at the moment, which I think is normal fpr autum, I got some really nice photos :)
So now there is only ONE MORE WEEK to go and then off on vacasion :P
Bisous

Le permier spectacle
Bon soir,
so I am getting a little depressed over here now...because of all these tests we write at the moment, I am really stressed and soo tired all the time. But it's not just that, you kind of always realize how less frenchknowlegde you actually have when you sit in one of these tests for 2 hours and don't know anything. Like really NOTHING.
I know, I know...don't make yourself too much pressure, remeber it's not important for you...the language matters and you are there to learn it, it doesn't come from one day to another...bla bla...it's still not very motivating...
Today was the first time here, that I actually sat in the geography test and knew what I had to do and used the complete 2 hours...but of course on my sheet of paper was way less wirtten than on the others sheets :P ...but I think today got me some (!!!) motivation :)
We also had the first spektakle yesterday evening at Chateau rouge. I don't really know what to say about it..it was...different. It was an old (72 years) woman which danced a bit weird...kind of an expressive dance...I don't know :P The music was sometimes good and the things she did were sometimes quite cool...but never really both things at the same time. So all in all, I would say it's not a thing you have to have watched in your life...but something I quite enjoyed :)
Bonne soirée

Some knews :)
Salut,
today I will be telling you some knew things I found out, that I will be doing here :)
So the first thing is, that I will be playing basketball. I have a friend here and the mother sometimes drives me to school in the mornings and so we talked about hobbys and all that stuff. And then she said that Johanna (the girl) played tennis for a long time, but didn't really enjoy it anymore, so she started with basketball...and so I was like: Oh my god, it was exact the same situation with me.
So yeah this is how things got moved and she said that the team was looking for knew players and yes, now I will be practicing basketball 2 times a week, wednesday and friday :)
The second thing is, that it's for sure now, that they go skiing like nearly every weekend during the winter and now this is like the only thing I want: SNOW...as fast as possible. I will also be trying out Snowboard again...only for Paul :*
The third thing is, that they asked me if I wonna like go out in the evenings some time...and of course I said yes, what else :P they call it here soirées ;) (I hope I wrote it right :P )
The last thing is that we have only 2 more weeks of school and then we will be off to HOLIDAYS :)))
Oh yes, and the homework here is getting more and more...I'm a bit overstrained :P
xoxo, Klara
PS: I made some nutella cookies for my hostfamily, I think they liked them pretty much :P

un mois en france :)
Bonjour mes amis,
so as you can already tell by the heading, I have survived my first month in france :) ...ok that sounded as if it was like a survival camp or so...well, sometimes :P
You know how they give frenchs kisses to everybody here?! So lately had to remember myself about which hand to use, when shaking hands in germany...that was awkward :P
I have to say that my head is still very confused with all these languages and he doesn't really know in which language to think... but my french has inproved alot :))
Last week I had an enormus conversation with my hostparents, after dinner. 1 freaking hour I talked :) We started with exchange things, so why I wanted to do this, why they chose me and things like that...with this they asked me if my family wants a hostkid next year....so we came to the plans of my family for the next year....with this to my plans and the school I might be visiting after my stay here and of cours with this to the german school system...so we landed in germany and of course came to the world war and the history of germany and france....chesus...that was sooo awsome :) After this I was like so happy that I had actually talked about all theses themes :PP ...but at school I still don't understand enough to keep up the classes :P
But...I have found a really nice group of friends, some more patient with me, some less...but that doesn't count..they are all really friendly with me...although they sometimes make fun of what I say, but I would do the same and I can also laugh about it :)
So at school, the teachers are starting to write tests and all that stuff...so what am I doing? well for example in french: I sit there two hours (thats how long they had time) I read the text...well I look at the words and try to find out what they mean...mostly I don't find the meaning...and out of a one page text, I might be able to understand 1 to 2 sentences :P ...but I know that it doesn't count for me, how good I am in the tests :)
Tomorrow I have a test in Math and German...let's see how that'll end :)
So yesterday we drove to the parents of my hostmother, as I already told you, it was the birthday of her dad :) The family is just soooo nice and we had a really nice time there...and of course we ate alooooot...too much :P
Befor lunch we had some starters, onion-tart, salami and some other stuff. For lunch we had these steak-thingies, pepperoni, salat and some kind of kich. After this the wife brought of course a massive tray of cheese...I tried some...but I really don't like alot :P For dessert we ate fruit-salat and the birthday cake :))
Yes yes, that was not all...
for tee we had some chocolate cake and around 8 o'clock we had dinner :)
For dinner we had again some leftover steaks and a seefoodkich, for starter we had championg-soup :) of cours salat and after that again cheese and dessert :PP
It was waaaay too much, but it was a really nice day :)
So...today we had bad weather, but we still went outside for a little while :)
So quite a bit of information there for you :PP hope you like the photos :)
See you soon, and wish me luck for the tests tomorrow :P

28,5°C :)))
Cou cou,
oh yes...the weather is still sooooooo nice :) Todays record was 28,5°C...the mornings are just freaking cold, 6°C...so every morning I look in my clothet and I ask myself: "yay, freeze in the morning and be fine in the afternoon, or have a nice warm start in the day and sweat in the afternoon?!"
Today was "comme ci, comme ca", what the french people would say :P We had three lessons, one geographie and history and 2 sience economique et sociale (SES)... in geo and history we wrote a test and I had absolut no idea what to do. It was working with a map and making a legend for it. The map was given and the meanings to the symboles in the map, but you had to match the symboles with the explanations...and since they were in french, I just guessed everything :PP
And in SES we wrote some really wierd things...I have noo idea..there were all these signes and stuff...dunno :P
After those three lessons we had 5 hours nothing... so I went shopping in Annemasse (where my school is) with a friend :) ...we also had lunch there :)) It was a really nice afternoon and we had quite alot of fun... I got some winterclothes :)
After the 5 hours nothing, we had dance, which was waaay better than last time :P
So on the weekend we will visite the grandparents, because it's the birhtday of the dad of my hostmother... I think they will also be really nice :)
A bientôt :)
